- Customer's Expectation of Privacy.
FNB South (FNB) has the utmost respect for privacy expectations of our customers, therefore such customer information shall be maintained at the highest possible level of confidentiality.
- Appropriate Use of Customer Information.
FNB shall collect, retain, and use personally- identifying information about individual customers only where we reasonably believe the information will be useful (and allowed by law) to administer banking business and to provide or make available products, services, and other opportunities to our customers.
- Notice: Disclosure of Information Practices to Customers.
A copy of this policy shall be given and explained to customers at the time a customer relationship is established, and at least annually thereafter.
- Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information, and Consumer Choice Regarding Disclosure.
FNB will not reveal specific information about individual customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to affiliates or unaffiliated third parties except that (1) the information is provided to help complete a customer initiated transaction; (2) the customer requests or authorizes the disclosure; (3) the disclosure is required or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, etc.)
- Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties.
(Such as insurance companies, or credit reporting agencies) If personally identifiable customer information is provided to a third party, FNB will insist that the third party adhere to similar privacy principles that provide for keeping such information confidential.
- Security: Limiting Employee Access to Information.
FNB Employees access to customers' personally identifiable information is confined to those employees who have a business reason for knowing such information.
- Security: Protection of Information via Established Data Security Procedures.
FNB shall maintain data security standards and procedures appropriate to the business environment and the sensitivity of the information involved, to prevent unauthorized access to or alteration of customer information.
- Data Integrity: Maintenance of Accurate Information.
FNB has established procedures so that a customer's financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. We will correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.
